Healing comes one second at a time.
The process is not linear.
One second you are happy and the next it feels like a truck hit you.
And you keep going because the sun rises each day.
Each day you get further from the trauma.
Each day you grow and heal deeper into the person you are meant to be.
I see God’s divinity in each step.
From the years of counseling, I’ve embarked on to lean into my gift of empathy.
To give me a job opportunity 3 years ago that provides the income and flexibility we need to get through this season.
And specific people he brought into my life who have provided Godly guidance during a time that required more than a throw-in-the-towel mentality.
God is in this story. I promise he’s in yours too.
