Comparison is a thief.
It steals happiness.
It steals confidence.
It steals time.
It steals opportunity.
It steals the truth.
How do we get here? How do we become creatures that are so easy to find flaws in ourselves?
This of course is a generalization. Not all people struggle with comparison. I do.
I’m working to unwind the years of comparison embedded in my brain.
Every time a comparison thought enters my mind, I challenge it. I challenge the validity. I challenge myself to find proof. I challenge myself to love how I am right now.
If you struggle with comparison like I do I challenge you to join me in the work of being content.
The work is hard. The work is tedious. The work is long.
We accomplish this mindset shift one thought at a time. We retrain our brains to see the good, and the positive, and to simply love.
You are enough. I am enough.
